What is a Smartpass?
A very useful service provided by the United Arab Emirates government. This service allows the users to have an access to any combined government e-service (online public service). The main purpose of Smartpass is to provide them access to the public online or e-services in a regular manner to the visitors, citizens, and residents, etc.

How to create a Smartpass account?
1. Registration on the kiosk
If you want to create and register a smartpass account first, you have to register yourself by visiting one of the locations of the smartpass kiosks in the UAE. More than 110 in Abu Dhabi, 30 in Al Ain, and almost one in Dubai kiosk locations are noted on the official website. On the kiosk you have to press the smartpass icon follows all the steps as displayed on the kiosk screen.
You need these two things for smartpass registration:
- Emirates ID card
- Phone with an original UAE SIM card
2. Self-registration on own device
For this, you need some things as an Emirates ID card, a mobile phone with a valid SIM card, a computer connected with the internet having window 10, 8, or 7. And a card reader (Sagem Morpho, MSO 1350, (V1 or V2) and its driver used for the fingerprints identification.
You have to install the driver in the device and use the JAVA software for finger identification. This type of registration requires the 4 digit Emirates ID card PIN number. If unfortunately, you have forgotten the PIN number, a new number will be allowed by the smartpass.
Step No 1
You have to select your language on the right top corner of the form as:

See at the bottom center “Register a new account” click on this option.
Step No 3
You have to choose the registration type. In the form you see two forms click on the “Registration With Emirates ID”.
Step No 4
Read the Term and Conditions as shown in front of you and press the option “Accept”.

You have to put the Emirates ID Card in the Card Reader and press the option “Done”. As

See, you have to put the 4 digit Emirates ID card PIN in the given box and click on “Submit” to begin the process.
Step No 7
Enter the Required information as
- Your identified Email Address
- Username (should contain 4 to 32 characters, can contain a hyphen, dot, or numbers only.
- Password (8 to 100 characters, one number, one must upper and one lower case letter).
- And confirm password
Finally, you have to “Submit” it. If all the information is correct then you will be able to submit this.
Step No 8
In few seconds on your mobile phone which was used in this process, you’ll receive a 6 digit smartpass authentication code by SMS. 3 minutes are allowed to put the code. In the case you have not received a cod click the resend button. After entering the code submit it.
Step No 9
A message like “Congratulations Hassan Ali” appears. It means your smartpass has successfully registered. As
Step No 10
Now you also have to confirm the registration by the link which appears on your inserted email.
Step No 11
Your smartpass account has also been created and verified you can easily open the smartpass account by inserting the email address.
