If you don’t have a plunger or if you can’t wait for a plumber or if you have insufficient tools use this method to unblock your toilet quickly. For this method you will require these types of equipment:

  • Washing up liquid
  • Rubber Gloves
  • An empty plastic bottle
  • A coat hanger
  • Baking soda and vinegar
  • A bucket
  • Cling film
  • Old newspapers

There are 4 best ways to unblocking your toilet without using a plunger.

1#  Using the washing up liquid:

The first method for unblocking your toilet is using the washing-up liquid. Pour a mug full of the liquid into the toilet and drip it around the bowl so that it creates a circle of waterlines. Leave your toilet for half an hour. After this, pour hot water into the bowl of the toilet so that it dislodge the blockage and unblock your toilet.




After your pour, the hot water into the toilet leave it for ten minutes, and then flush the toilet to remove the blockage. If the toilet is not unblocked after it. Note if the water level is dropping in the bowl repeat the process again and again. Pour a mug full of baking soda and two mugs of vinegar to remove any obstacles from your toilet.

 2#   How to unblock a toilet with cling film?

This method requires high water pressure. If your toilet doesn’t have high pressure then this method is not effective for unblocking your toilet. Make sure that the surface of your toilet is dry. It does not use your old towel to dry it. Cover the surface of your toilet with three layers of cling films. Ensure that the whole surface of the toilet is covered and then push it down to create a good seal. After it flushes the toilet, the high water pressure will cause the cling films to raise upward. Now push it downward to remove the blockage of the toilet to the main drainage.

3#   How to unblock a toilet using a plastic bottle:

It would be worse to you to have a blocked toilet and no plunger for unblocking the toilet. Use this method to unblock your toilet without using a plunger.

Wear rubber gloves and some old clothes. To use this method you need to take some of the water out of your toilet. You can do it by using a small container and pour the water into a bucket. After your remove enough water that you can get your hand into a toilet bowl. Now take a large plastic bottle and cut it off from the bottom.

To create a vacuum use your thumb or lid. If your thumb is not so big, use some cling films or some elastic bands to create a seal that works like a lid. Now you put the open end of the bottle into the bowl and ensure that the end is submerged into the water. Now the bottle is working as a plunger, Move the bottle vigorously up and down.

4#  Coat Hanger:

Straighten the wire of the coat hanger and make the U-shaped wire. Push and pull at the obstructions until they unblock the toilet. This method should be used with the conjunction of washing liquid or plastic bottle system to completely remove the blockages

How to keep the toilet free from Blocking:

You should use this method to keep your toilet away from blocking. For this purpose you will need:

  • 300 grams of baking soda (sodium carbonate)
  • 70 grams of citric acid
  • A water shower bottle
  • A rubber spatula
  • An old ice cube tray

Make a mixture of baking soda and citric acid. You should wear gloves while doing this. Then mix the mixture with water. You will also need a very less quantity of water. If it forms bubbles then it means that you have added too much water. Pour this into a blend of your favorite oils i.e. rosemary, peppermint, etc.

Also, pour the mixture into an ice tray and leave it to dry the whole night. After it, drop one or two into the toilet bowl before you go to sleep to clear any potential blockage.
