The method is very simple. If you want to enquire about the DEWA bill you need the DEWA account number, which you have previously used. You can also find this number on the past DEWA bill easily. You just have to follow the following steps:
1. You have to go to the official website and select the option of “View Bill”.
2. A form will be opened in front of you. Now in this form put your DEWA account number for the DEWA bill enquiry.
3. When you press the Enquire button after submitting the account number you’ll see the whole detail.
If you didn’t have an account number then you have to create a new account.
How to Open a New Account? Or Move-in Services
For a new connection, you have to create a new account offline and by the online method. This service to create a new account or new connection is also called the “Move-in Services”. So for this process, you need some documents to submit either for the offline or online method.
Anyhow, what method you choose, you have to submit the documents, your personal or identifying information, and also pay the security fee or deposit.

For this process you have to visit one of the DEWA Center or office and also carry these documents with you:
- Resident’s valid passport copy
- Title Deeds
- Proof letter

- Landlord’s valid passport copy
- Filled application form

If you choose this method go to the official website of the DEWA. Here you have to select the “Consumer” option and open the “Supply Management” portal.
You have submitted online these documents:
- Your valid license
- Your residential agreement
- Landlord’s valid passport copy
- Resident’s valid passport copy
- Correctly filled application form

For large and small electricity and water connection, there are different types of fees. You have to pay these fees:
Security Fees
If you are opening a new account you have to pay the security fee or deposits which are refundable. It means in any case of departure you can get it back.
How to cancel a DEWA account? Or Move-out Services
If you want to cancel or close your account due to leaving the country or any purposes, same there are two choices
Offline Method
For this process, you have to inform the nearest DEWA office or center. You have to give them the following details:
- Your Emirates ID card number
- UAE registered phone number
- DEWA account number
- Disconnection date
Online method
This is a less time consuming and quick method for the cancellation o your account.
Now go to the official website and after logging in reach the “Quick services” and select the deactivation of the “Water and Electricity” portal.
- And pay the clearance fee if you need a clearance certificate, also pay the fee.
- Then select the Move-out or deactivation date and your phone number. When you submit the fee.
- Also, choose the method for the refund of the fee.
- Finally, submit the whole application.
